The BMJ (www.bmj.com - sadly no longer entirely free online) always does a thought provoking Christmas issue. This year has been no exception. It ranges from the light hearted (sword swallowing) to the - well - how do you define an article on why the Danes are (allegedly) smug?
I'd like to draw your attention in particular to the article on web 2.0. What is web 2.0? Well - you're looking at a bit of it - blogs are part of the web 2.0 concept. Web 2.0 is difficult to pin down but its defining attributes are that anyone can take part, and that information is shared. All you need to write a blog like this is the ablility to type (one finger is fine). No need for IT knowledge involving fancy acronymns.
The snippet I want to particuarly wave at you is the recommendation for Ves Dimov's medical blog - Clinical Cases and Images http://casesblog.blogspot.com/. Why not have a look and see what you think?
Happy New Year!
